ITA Airways quietly launched one of its more useful summer additions when it opened a daily non-stop service between Rome Fiumicino (FCO) and Valencia (VLC) on 1 June 2026. The route runs through to 30 September 2026, operating seven days a week on Airbus A220-300 and A320-family aircraft.

Route Details

The non-stop flight between Rome and Valencia takes approximately two hours, making it a practical option compared to connections via Madrid or Barcelona. Return fares start from around €143 depending on availability and booking window, with luggage allowances following ITA’s standard economy fare rules.

Booking is available directly through ITA Airways or the major flight comparison platforms. ITA is a Star Alliance member, so frequent flyers can earn miles on eligible fares.

Why This Route Matters

Valencia has steadily grown as a destination as travellers look for Spanish alternatives to the most visited cities. The city offers a strong combination of architecture, beaches, and one of Europe’s best-regarded food scenes - without the congestion that has prompted overtourism restrictions in Barcelona and Madrid.
